Harry Kane has completed his transfer to Bayern Munich. The deal, encompassing a reported initial fee of £86 million and potentially escalating to a record-breaking £100 million with add-ons.
Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Kane was deemed their “highest priority” by head coach Thomas Tuchel. The club was keen on acquiring the English national team captain and securing him from the Premier League. Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou acknowledged Kane’s imminent departure and the transparent conversations they had regarding the move.
Harry Kane’s remarkable career at Tottenham included scoring 280 goals in 435 appearances since his debut in December 2011. He managed to achieve the title of Tottenham’s all-time top scorer during his tenure. Despite his individual success, Kane’s time at the club was marred by a lack of major trophies and a dearth of recent silverware. He scored 30 Premier League goals in the last season, yet Tottenham finished eighth and missed European competition.
