Al Hilal of Suadi Arabia has tabled a world-record bid of £259 million to acquire Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The French champions have made it known that Mbappe is up for sale and, as a consequence, have excluded him from their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, opting to include only players fully committed to the club.
News of the offer was announced by renowned football journalist, Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
Al Hilal’s offer is not the only one PSG has received for Mbappe. Several Premier League sides have also expressed their interest in signing the France captain. The club has confirmed that they have received a mix of offers for the star player, ranging from cash deals to player exchange proposals.
The 24-year-old forward’s contract with PSG is set to expire in one year, and he has made it clear that he has no intentions of signing a new contract with the club. Rumors suggest that Mbappe has already agreed to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer. PSG is keen not to lose him without any compensation and is open to considering all offers, including the possibility of loaning Mbappe out for the upcoming season.
Despite the considerable interest from various clubs, PSG remains determined to secure a favorable deal for Mbappe’s transfer. However, with Al Hilal’s groundbreaking offer on the table, other clubs may find it challenging to match such a staggering bid.
