Enquiries into the crash in Walton are ongoing
Two North West Ambulance Services (NWAS) vehicles crashed in Walton on Tuesday night (April 14). At around 9pm, emergency services were called to the junction of the East Lancashire Road and Parthenon Drive in Walton after a NWAS rapid response car and a NWAS patient transport vehicle crashed.
Merseyside Police said no serious injuries were reported following the crash and enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing this morning, Wednesday, April 15.
Pictures of the scene, shared with the ECHO show damage to both ambulance vehicles and a police presence blocking the road. East Lancashire Road has since reopened.
