More than 3,000 PSG fans have made the journey to Merseyside to support their team
Thousands of Paris St-Germain fans are in Liverpool for a night to remember at Anfield. Dressed from head to toe in distinctive navy and red, PSG supporters embarked on their traditional pilgrimage from Walton Lane to the stadium this evening ahead of the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
The Reds are aiming to overturn a 2-0 deficit as they aim to progress to the semi-finals of the competition tonight. The team faces tough competition from PSG, whose first-leg goals from Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia make the team the firm favourites entering the second leg.
PSG supporters could be spotted in Liverpool city centre soaking up the atmosphere today, April 14. Last night, supporters of the French side gathered outside the Municipal Hotel and Spa on Dale Street to welcome the team.
Crowds lined the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the players as they arrived by team bus, with many fans holding shirts in anticipation of autographs.
At around 6pm, PSG supporters gathered on Walton Lane and began the walk to Anfield, passing through Stanley Park with a celebration atmosphere as flares were let off and Liverpool FC fans gathered to watch from the sidelines.
