The suspect in Saturday’s shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner has been identified by a law enforcement official as Cole Tomas Allen, about 31, of Torrance, California.
A LinkedIn profile matching his name describes Allen as an “independent game developer” and part-time teacher for C2 Education, a national tutoring firm, where he was named “Teacher of the Month” in December 2024, according to a report by CNN.
According to his profile, he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from California Institute of Technology in 2017 and a master’s degree in computer science from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2025.
