The chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), is urging President Donald Trump to end the ceasefire with Iran and resume bombing the country, while the White House pursues an active peace deal.
The push comes as Washington navigates an active naval blockade, stalled negotiations and mixed signals from the Pentagon.
Wicker Calls For Military Finish
In an X post on Friday, Wicker said Trump should “finish destroying Iran’s conventional military capabilities and eliminating any last remnants of their nuclear program,” calling it “the only way to ensure lasting stability in the region.”
