The first episode will air on ITV1 on Sunday
A new drama starts this Sunday on ITV starring Golden Globe Award-nominated actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Super Pumped is a US anthology drama series that takes its name from the 2019 non-fiction book by Mike Isaac.
The first series, subtitled The Battle For Uber, draws inspiration from Mr Isaac’s book and chronicles the meteoric rise and subsequent downfall of former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Featuring a star-studded cast including Kyle Chandler, Uma Thurman, and Elisabeth Shue, it made its debut in the United States in 2022. Before the series even premiered, it was confirmed that a second season was in the pipeline, based on another upcoming book by Mike Isaac, this time focusing on Facebook.
The show brings to life the inception of the ride-hailing giant Uber, as seen through the eyes of the company’s CEO Travis Kalanick, who eventually finds himself ousted in a boardroom coup.
The first episode of the US show will air on ITV1 on Sunday, December 14, at 10.15pm.
There are seven episodes in the series.
