A video has emerged of an Israeli tank firing upon a car in northern Gaza, with concerns that a family inside the vehicle may have been killed.
This revelation follows Israel’s military confirmation that its tanks had ventured into northern Gaza as a countermeasure to Hamas’s unexpected attack on 7 October.
The video shows a car journeying down road. Upon nearing a junction, the car encounters a tank, the vehicle then attempts to reverse its direction, but the tank shoots, resulting in an explosion.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have yet to comment on the video footage. Tensions continue to rise as the IDF’s chief military spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, confirmed intentions to intensify operations in Gaza, with troops stationed along Gaza’s northern border ready for any development. The IDF also announced the successful rescue of an Israeli soldier previously held captive by Hamas.
