A group of approximately 50 individuals armed with bear spray targeted the Westfield Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. The group employed animal spray to shock security guards and proceeded to loot luxury items from the mall. The stolen goods included high-end clothing and luxury handbags.

A video shared on social media depicted people wearing hoods and masks tearing down shelves and quickly leaving the store with the stolen luxury items. The aftermath of the incident revealed broken glass and disheveled shelves on the floor.

After receiving a call reporting “numerous persons shoplifting,” the Los Angeles Police were alerted to the incident. Authorities estimated the total loss resulting from the robbery to be between $60,000 and $100,000.

Another robbery took place at a Yves Saint Laurent store in nearby Glendale. The loss incurred there was estimated to be around $300,000. Los Angeles Police Department officials emphasized the need to hold those responsible for such acts accountable and prevent similar attacks on retailers in the future. The police department vowed to continue its efforts to apprehend those involved in the incident.

Los Angeles Police Department released a statement highlighting their commitment to finding the individuals responsible for the incident and preventing similar attacks on retailers. The statement also acknowledged the need for accountability for such acts and emphasized the department’s dedication to curbing such activities.
