The National Theatre’s smash hit production of The Ocean at the End of the Lane will return to London’s West End for a strictly limited seven-week run this autumn after a highly acclaimed tour across the UK and Ireland. This thrilling adventure of fantasy, myth, and friendship, adapted by Joel Horwood and directed by Katy Rudd from Neil Gaiman’s best-selling book, will play at the Nol Coward Theatre from October 11 to November 25, 2023. This is Neil Gaiman’s first major stage adaptation, which combines magic and memory in a masterful tale that transports the audience on an epic journey to a once-forgotten childhood and the darkness that lurks therein. The entire cast, which is touring 29 towns and cities in the UK and Ireland, will move with the show into London’s West End.
The best-selling novel The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman was first published ten years ago this year. The original won Book of the Year at 2013 Public Book Grants and has sold over 1.5 million duplicates around the world.
The Sea toward the Finish of the Path creation accepted its reality debut at the Public Auditorium in 2019. In 2021, the Duke of York’s Theatre was where it made its debut in the West End.

The Sandman series, a major new Netflix series that was watched by audiences all over the world for over 198 million hours in its first 10 days, is one of Neil Gaiman’s graphic novels. Stardust, Coraline, and The Graveyard Book, among others, are among his books for children and adults; and numerous motion picture and television productions, including Anansi Boys and Good Omens, whose second season will premiere on Amazon Prime on July 28.
