Global News? No Thanks, Not Anymore!
After many years of watching and trusting Global News, I am done. I will never watch Global News channels again. The reporting is very biased, unfair and often inaccurate. Reporters often “choose” to report only what “may” be the most popular views. They so often now leave out crucial information on serious stories that SHOULD be reported. For example: The second shooting of two individuals by ICE in Portland Oregon on Thursday, January 8, 2026 were not only criminals but GANG Members! Would any of you at Global like your child or family member in the hands of these two GANG Members? If so, they’d all better be carrying naloxone. This is just one story of so very many that Global reports on inaccurately and/or incompletely. It just happens to be the most recent. This stance can leave the public very misinformed. It is well overdue to retire Dawna Friesen and MANY other Global reporters and start fresh. Global states below that “it serves as a trusted source of news and information for millions of viewers and readers in Canada and Beyond”. Really? This is just a “tad” frightening and misleading. Critical stories should always be reported on comprehensively and thoroughly. Another suggestion would be to hire much better typists and proofreaders. The “digital ticker tape” Global uses at the bottom of the television screen has so many typos that it is shameful.
