Thousands of farmers gathered in central London on Tuesday to protest against changes to inheritance tax announced by the Labour government. Inherited agricultural assets such as family farms that are worth over £1m would be taxed at 20%, when they were previously exempt. Farmers at the protest said this change would mean they would not be able to continue working on their family farms.
