Ant and Dec were in stitches after Dean McCullough’s error
I’m A Celebrity viewers were baffled after Dean McCullough’s gaffe on tonight’s episode. The BBC Radio 1 presenter participated in the Bushtucker Trial on Tuesday’s edition of the ITV show.
The latest challenge was titled the Sinister Sarcophagus as Dean aimed to win stars for the camp. Ant and Dec introduced Dean to a mummy figurine, which he was locked inside for the duration of the Trial.
Dean was horrified at the prospect as he admitted: “This is my worst nightmare because I can’t get out.” The campmate was visibly uncomfortable as sand entered the body compartment and giant mealworms and crickets were tipped onto his head.
The hosts quizzed Dean on Egypt themed questions. For every question he got correct, he would win a star. However, the presenter did not fare too well in the challenge as he only answered two correctly before he ended the challenge and shouted: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.”

Dean was in tears as the challenge ended as he was worried about having to tell his fellow campmates about the news. Ant and Dec shared some of the questions that Dean would have to face, which included one on Liverpool FC superstar, Mohamed Salah.
The presenters asked: “Name the footballer who is orginally from Egypt and plays for Liverpool?” A confused Dean was way off with his response as he answered “Jose Mourinho” instead of the talismanic forward.
Ant and Dec erupted in stitches as soon as they heard the name of the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager. Viewers following the show on social media channels were similarly confused by the response.
