United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves says the financial services sector is the crown jewel of the economy. “We cannot take the UK’s status as a global financial centre for granted,” Reeves said during her inaugural Mansion House speech in London. “In a highly competitive world, we need to earn that status and we need to work to keep it,” she said.
