WASHINGTON – Americans are voting Tuesday in the hotly contested U.S. presidential election, with polls showing the Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and her Republican opponent Donald Trump essentially tied in all seven swing states that will most likely determine the outcome.
Whether the victory goes to Vice President Harris, who would be the country’s first female commander-in-chief, or former President Trump may not be known for days or perhaps weeks after the polls close.
