Right-leaning candidate Keiko Fujimori is leading Peru’s presidential vote with 16.6 per cent, an early exit poll by Ipsos Peru showed on Sunday.
Leftist candidate Roberto Sanchez trailed with 12.1 per cent, and a third candidate, centre-leftist Ricardo Belmont, had 11.8 per cent of the vote.
If no candidate clears the 50 per cent threshold needed to win outright, the two most-voted candidates would advance to a second round, scheduled for June 7.
