These are the faces of the defendants from our region who were locked up over the past seven days
A killer who stabbed his girlfriend to death, a Heinz baked beans factory worker and a shoplifter who threatened to stab a Tesco worker were among the Merseyside criminals jailed over the past week. Also locked up was a paedophile who travelled to McDonald’s on Edge Lane armed with presents including Juicy Couture tracksuits and a Swarovski necklace, having hoped to meet up with a teenage girl on her 14th birthday.
Meanwhile, Liverpool Crown Court heard that a shoeless robber threatened a 75-year-old nan at knifepoint in her own home before fleeing to Asda to buy himself new footwear, while a man sought revenge on a wannabee thief who attempted to snatch his girlfriend’s handbag during a night out in the city centre. Here are the faces of 10 defendants from our region who were imprisoned over the last seven days, being handed a combined total of 48 years and eight months behind bars.
