5 things you didn’t know about Last One Laughing’s Sam Campbell
Last One Laughing series two has kept Prime Video viewers in hysterics, but a winner has finally been declared.
The entertaining contest came back for a second run last month, beginning with 10 comedians attempting everything possible to prevent themselves from laughing.
However, in the concluding episode, only four comics were left standing: Mel Giedroyc, Sam Campbell, David Mitchell and defending champion Bob Mortimer.
Who won Last One Laughing season 2?
Last One Laughing series two’s final episode proved a gripping watch, but ultimately, it was Peep Show star David Mitchell who claimed this year’s title.
Giedroyc secured fourth position after being unable to contain her laughter during a face-off with Mortimer and his portrayal of an amorous dolphin.

Yet the inaugural Last One Laughing winner was eliminated when he chuckled at Mitchell declaring: “I was just chadwicking!”
This left Mitchell and Sam Campbell as the final two, but with merely one minute remaining and neither breaking into a smile, host Jimmy Carr revealed there would be a deciding round.
Carr explained that the contestant who had provoked the most laughter would be named the series two victor, which proved to be David Mitchell.
Reflecting on his triumph, Mitchell said: “That was quite insane because I think we disappeared into a place where there was no laughter.
“I have to say, for all the bleakness at the end, I am delighted to win and I think that shows a want of character in me, but I was very pleased.”
Fortunately, Prime Video has already confirmed that there is plenty more to look forward to from Last One Laughing in the near future.
It has been announced that, for the very first time, a Halloween special of the hugely popular competition will be released, expected to arrive sometime in October.
On top of that, a third series of Last One Laughing is set to launch in 2027.
Jimmy Carr will be back to host both the Halloween special and series three, with Roisin Conaty returning as his second-in-command to put a fresh batch of comedians to the test as they attempt to keep a straight face.
Last One Laughing is available to watch on Prime Video.
