The party chair provided screenshots from Forbes’s deleted Facebook page showing attendance at anti-abortion events. The Nebraska Democratic Party backs independent candidate Dan Osborn, concerned that Forbes could siphon votes and hand Republicans victory. Forbes denies being a GOP plant, claiming he ran as a Democrat because no Democrat was on the ballot.
