Who is making the biggest difference in the West Derby community?

West Derby has always been powered by its people, with a strong sense of community running through everything from the historic village centre to the surrounding neighbourhoods.

From volunteer-run groups around West Derby Village and Croxteth to local charities and resident networks, the area is full of grassroots organisations working quietly behind the scenes to make life better for others.

These are the people organising coffee mornings in community hubs, heritage events celebrating the area’s rich history, clean-ups in local parks and green spaces, and sports sessions bringing young people together, all driven by local passion and pride.
