Ticketmaster shared the email update on behalf of the event organisers
Ticketmaster has sent an email to Foo Fighters fans ahead of their Anfield shows. The American rock band confirmed on Monday, November 10, they will be taking over home of Liverpool FC, much to the delight of thousands of UK fans.
The six-piece band, fronted by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, will play two shows next summer on Thursday, June 25, and Saturday, June 27 2026. Those lucky enough to secure tickets can expect to hear the likes of ‘All My Life’, ‘The Pretender’, ‘Best Of You’ and ‘My Hero’.
In an email shared today (March 27), Ticketmaster shared information on behalf of the event organiser. It reads: “We need to advise that there has been a change to the age restrictions previously communicated by the concert organiser, for Foo Fighters at Anfield, Liverpool on 27 June 2026.
“The revised standing and seated age restrictions for the show are now:
“Standing – 14+, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
“Reserved Seats – 5+, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
“The concert organiser would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. If there are any fans who can no longer use their tickets due to the updated age restriction please can they let us know by completing this short form by Friday 3 April 2026 so we can take steps to resolve the issue.”
The ECHO has checked the Ticketmaster website for the Thursday, June 25 show. The same restrictions are in place as stated above.
It will be the first time Dave Grohl has performed in Liverpool since 2008, when he joined Paul McCartney on stage during his headline performance.
Anfield Stadium has welcomed many major artists in recent years, including Taylor Swift, The Eagles and Elton John. The ECHO has listed the shows announced for 2026 below.
