A mother and social media star tragically lost her life in a road crash. Karla Thaynnara was a motorcyclist with over 56,000 followers on Instagram, she shared snapshots of her daily life including raising her seven-year-old daughter.
However NeedToKnow reports she lost control of her motorcycle on Tuesday morning (3 March). She reportedly collided with a car, was thrown onto the road and then run over by a lorry travelling just behind her.
It was a double tragedy however as her father, José Carlos Andrade Nogueira, was one of the police officers dispatched to the scene. After seeing Karla lying on the tarmac, he allegedly took his own life in Brasília, Brazil, before colleagues were able to intervene.
Karla frequently posted pictures on motorbikes, at the gym and with loved ones, including her father and her seven-year-old daughter. The 25-year-old worked as a nurse and also as a consignment dealer at a local motorcycle dealership.
In August last year, she celebrated a major milestone after buying a flat for herself and her daughter. She wrote at the time: “It’s more than just four walls and a roof – it’s proof that dreams really do come true when you refuse to give up on them.
“Those of you who’ve followed me for years will know it wasn’t easy. I was just 17, with a four-month-old baby in my arms. I didn’t have much, but I had determination – and a huge desire to build a better life.
“There were sleepless nights, tough days and tears no one saw. But there was also strength, resilience and faith. And none of this would have happened without my parents – their support and belief in me gave me the foundation I needed to keep going and make it.
“Now I’m standing here, holding the key to another milestone.”
Karla and her father are due to be laid to rest in Brasília today (4 Mar). The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
