A police car remains at the scene
A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed inside a house. Emergency services were called to Needham Road in Edge Hill at around 3.40pm on Wednesday, March 18, following reports a man had been stabbed in the hand.
Police said the man suffered a small cut to his hand and was taken to hospital for treatment. Pictures taken at the scene show a number of police cars and an ambulance in attendance.
A 49-year-old woman from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault. She is still in police custody to be questioned, police said.
A witness told the ECHO he saw a person being taken in the back of an ambulance.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service added: “This was an incident at a private address.
“A patient has been taken to hospital.”
