Emmerdale is poised to delve into Graham Foster’s link to Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey, as their shared history remains shrouded in mystery.
ITV soap viewers have been kept in the dark about the backstory of how Graham (Andrew Scarborough) ended up with Jodie (Olivia Frances-Brown) confined in the back of his van during the Corriedale episode, which was broadcast in January.
Upon spotting Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) amongst the chaos of the motorway pile-up, Graham abandoned Jodie and the vehicle unattended, providing her with the chance to flee.
Upon discovering Jodie had disappeared, Graham placed a cryptic phone call, informing whoever was listening that she had escaped. He also confirmed he was “terminating their contract”.
Meanwhile, Jodie was discovered by DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who helped get her to the hospital, where she encountered her half-sister, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), before subsequently relocating to Weatherfield, reports the Daily Star.
Emmerdale spoilers now reveal that Graham will endure a shocking assault as former partner Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) races to his aid.
The drama unfolds next week when suspicious Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) tails his wife, Rhona, to Home Farm after catching her lying about a house call.
She swiftly tends to Graham, who had been assaulted by a gang following the termination of a contract. Could the attackers be connected to Jodie’s escape?
The unexpected intimacy between Graham and Rhona leads them to almost kiss, with a devastated Marlon witnessing it in secret.
Unable to hold back any longer, Marlon confronts Rhona about whether she still has feelings for Graham. The vet tries to explain her emotions to her husband, but will she break his heart?
“The fact that Jodie got away means that Graham failed in his mission,” Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona, told Digital Spy.
“He’s been lying low since, but when Rhona asked him to help find Dylan recently, Graham ended up exposing where he was – so the people that he’d been working for came to find him to teach him a lesson…”
Graham’s ordeal may shed light on some of his enigmatic links to Jodie, but the complete picture has yet to emerge since Graham returned after a six-year absence.
