Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has shared an adorable baby update three weeks after giving birth. The actress thrilled fans when she announced the news she had given birth to her first child with her husband Adam Whitehead last month. The Victoria Sugden actress informed fans she had given birth to her first child in a video posted on social media.
Isabel shared a video of herself from hospital singing to her tummy, before the screen switched to a blank page. Isabel wrote: “On the 11th of February at 1.02am….”
The sound of a baby crying could be heard as she added: “Georgie Grace Whitehead. 11.02.26. 8Ibs 5oz” with pink love heart emojis. The post was followed up by a polaroid photo of Isabel holding her new born. She captioned the heartwarming post: “And then we heard you”.
Isabel has since been keeping fans updated on what life looks like as a new mum. In a recent post on Instagram, she shared some adorable snaps with her new bundle of joy to mark three weeks of parenthood.
Sharing a selfie with baby Georgie, the soap star said: “Learning you, loving you and growing with you. 3 weeks old today [heart emoji].”
The carousel of snaps also featured a selfie with her husband Adam, as well as cosy snaps with her newborn in bed.
Isabel’s co-star Laura Norton, best known for playing Kerry Wyatt on the ITV soap, took to the comments to show her support. She said: “Clever people”.
Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price on the cobbles, said: “Oh that precious baby bubble enjoy loves xxx.”
One fan called Kim said: “Beautiful photo of you both”. Another follower called Donna added: “Crazy how quickly the time goes. Enjoy. You look fab xx.”
A follower called Janie said: “What a perfect family Just love you guys . Time goes so fast.”
Isabel announced last year she was expecting her first child with her husband Adam Whitehead. The couple tied the knot last summer and announced the news a baby was on the way shortly after.
While Isabel takes a break from Emmerdale, fans will be pleased to know this isn’t the end of Victoria Sugden and she will be returning to the soap in the future.
She recently celebrated reaching 20 years on Emmerdale.
On Instagram in October, she wrote: “Can’t believe I’ve entered my 20th year on Emmerdale. So many memories, amazing people, and stories over the years.”
