Soap fans noticed a major blunder
Coronation Street viewers noticed a major mistake as part of Sam Blakeman’s storyline. Sam has found himself swept up in a dark grooming plot concerning Megan Walsh, who is in a sexual relationship with her 16-year-old student Will Driscoll. Sam has been struggling to cope, as he is the only person who knows about their secret.
During Friday’s episode of the ITV soap, Sam plucked up the courage to confront Megan, who has been bullying him into keeping quiet. However, Megan managed to twist the whole situation, calling the teenager a “peeping Sam” when he planted a camera in her flat to try and catch her and Will.
Megan has been horrible to Sam, and it is starting to affect his own health. During a conversation on Friday, Megan told him: “Me and Will go to bed with each other. Tell a soul and I’ll laugh. I’ll say it’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. And I’ll tell the police that you fancy me.”
She said: “Remember what I said. Take me on, and I’ll destroy you.”
As the chilling scene came to end, fans were all praying Sam had recorded the conversation as evidence.
Taking to social media, fans agreed Sam made a huge mistake not recording Megan’s disturbing words on his phone.
On X, one said: “UGHHHH who else thought Sam had a phone in his pocket and recorded it all?”
A second soap fan asked: “Why isn’t he recording this on his phone?” and a third said: “Sam should have recorded the conversation or have Hope listen in recording the conversation.”
A fourth said: “Sam should have recorded Megan threatening him” and another said: “Sam should’ve recorded the convo.”
Megan’s secret is set to be unveiled next week as Sam struggles to hide his emotions any longer.
Megan is one of the five victims who could possibly be murdered in an upcoming storyline. A flashforward clip saw Betsy Swain speaking to the police after finding a dead body.
The episode, which will air next month, will see one of five potential characters murdered. Megan joins Maggie Driscoll, Theo Silverton, Jodie Ramsay and Carl Webster on the possible victim list.
With Megan’s shocking storyline, it would come as no surprise if someone wants to get their revenge.
Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
