Channel 4 are looking for dog lovers for the next series
Channel 4 is currently looking for people from Liverpool for the new series of The Dog House. Since launching in 2019, the popular programme has captured the hearts of the nation by following the journey of rescue dogs as they are matched with people looking to offer them a second chance.
Filmed at Woodgreen Pets Charity in Cambridge, the series shines a light on how rescuing a dog can be life-changing both for the dog, as well as for the humans. The show returns to screens tonight for a ninth series, when even more families are hoping to find their forever companion at Woodgreen.
Producers are looking for people from Liverpool who are interested in adopting a dog, including first-time owners, families, individuals, or anyone seeking companionship after a difficult time
Channel 4 said: “The Dog House team is now seeking kind-hearted people in Liverpool and beyond who may be thinking about adopting a rescue dog – whether for companionship, support, wellbeing, or simply the joy of bringing a four-legged friend into their life.”

Several people from Merseyside have found their perfect match on The Dog House over the years.
The ECHO reached out to Andy and Garfield, who appeared on last year’s season of The Dog House. They went home with adorable labradoodle Barley and said “our lives have changed for the better”.
From belly rubs in the morning to peaceful walks around Merseyside’s beautiful spots, the couple, who have been married for eight years, said Barley soon slotted into life in their home in Pensby.
Andy said: “The dog is a joy, she brings a lot of different things to our lives. We take her for long walks, she’s changed us massively.”
