Donald Trump has announced that American forces unleashed “one of the most powerful bombing raids” in Middle East history on Iran’s crucial Kharg Island. The US President said military installations had been “totally obliterated” on what many Iranians refer to as the “Forbidden Island” due to its secrecy and the heavy protection provided by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).Announcing the strikes on his Truth Social platform, Mr Trump wrote: “Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the history of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every military target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island.”Our weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated that the world has ever known but, for reasons of decency, I have chosen NOT to wipe out the oil Infrastructure on the island.

Tehran doesn’t get to choose which one to deal with first.”However, the President downplayed US interest in taking the island by force on Friday, though he did not rule it out.He told Fox News Radio: “It’s not high on the list, but it’s one of so many different things, and I can change my mind in seconds.”Our Standards:
