Saudi Arabia's exports of services jump 17% to SR 66 billion in 4Q 2025

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s total value of exports of services recorded an increase of 16.8 percent, reaching SR 66.1 billion during the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to SR56.6 billion in the same period of 2024.According to the international trade statistics, released by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), travel services recorded exports worth SR39.5 billion, with personal travel services representing approximately 92.2 percent of the total exports in this category. Transportation services ranked second with a value of SR10.5 billion, with air transport representing approximately 40.6 percent of total transportation exports, followed by sea and land transport with lower percentages. Government services amounted to SR2.8 billion, followed by other business services at SR2.6 billion, with professional and administrative consulting representing 51 percent of the total exports in this category. The GASTAT indicated that the value of exports of communications, computer, and information services reached SR2.3 billion, with communications services alone representing approximately 51.4 percent of the total exports in this category, followed by computer and information services with lower percentages. Construction services totaled SR1.8 billion, and the remaining exports of services were distributed among categories such as financial services, manufacturing services, personal, cultural, and entertainment services, and insurance and pensions. The GASTAT stated that Saudi Arabia’s imports of services for the fourth quarter of 2025 reached SR119.6 billion, a decrease of 2.6 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2024. Transportation services recorded the highest import value at SR33.5 billion, with maritime transport accounting for approximately 45.6 percent of total transportation imports, followed by air and land transport at lower percentages. The authority stated that imports of travel services amounted to SR25.2 billion, with personal travel constituting approximately 93 percent of total imports in this category. Other business services reached SR17.5 billion, with professional and administrative consulting representing approximately 54 percent of this item, while construction services amounted to SR16.4 billion. The total value of government services accounted for SR6.4 billion while the value of insurance and pension services amounted to SR5.2 billion. The rest of the service revenues were distributed among other categories such as communications, computer and information services, manufacturing services, personal, cultural and entertainment services, and financial services.
