RIYADH— Officials from the Ministry of Commerce have carried out more than 20,000 regulatory inspection visits and 1,937 supply monitoring tours of commercial establishments and retail outlets in the Makkah and Madinah regions since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.The inspection tours covered the central markets, hypermarkets, retail outlets in the central areas, gold and jewelry shops, fuel stations on the roads leading to Makkah and Madinah, and the Miqats. These inspection visits aimed to verify the availability of all types of goods, including food supplies, consumer products, and Ramadan products, and to ensure that goods and products comply with approved standard specifications and that establishments and retail outlets adhere to consumer protection regulations.
