Dead and injured after latest Russian attacks: Zelensky

KIEV — At least one person died and eight others, including a child, were injured in new Russian drone and missile attacks in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday. “The main target of the attack was the energy supply, but normal residential buildings were also damaged, and there was damage to the railway,” Zelensky posted on Telegram. A 49-year-old man was killed in the Kiev region as Russia launched almost 300 drones and 50 missiles and cruise missiles at Ukraine, he said. In addition to Kiev, the areas of Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava and Sumy were also affected. “Moscow continues to invest more in attacks than in diplomacy,” Zelensky said, referring to the ongoing negotiations between the warring countries.
