During a Sunday morning, February 22 appearance on CNN, Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom was relentlessly critical of President Donald Trump.Host Dana Bash noted that although the U.S. Supreme Court struck down most of Trump’s tariffs as illegal, adding that he is “vowing to forge ahead even without Congress.” And Newsom responded, “I mean, this is madness.” The California governor continued, “He’s flailing. He’s a punch-drunk boxer. He’s just, you know, he’s just trying to hit anything. A shadow and he’s a shadow of himself.
