An independent mayoral candidate in Denver, Colorado, posted multiple expletive-filled outbursts on Monday, threatening a prominent local journalist.Robert Preta, a local construction businessman who has backed a platform of building tiny homes across the city to improve affordability, previously ran in a crowded field in 2023 and lost that race — but not before sitting for an interview with 9News’ Kyle Clark.Evidently, Preta is still seething about the result of that interview, because he posted aggressive attacks on Clark and 9News to X, one year out from another potential bid for office in 2027.”I will destroy it ALL. In Colorado, in Denver and in ALL surrounding areas,” wrote Preta. “Kyle, you listen to me @KyleClark get out of Denver and Colorado before I force you to. @9NEWS hey 9 news. I don’t f— around. I hope you know this. Do your homework on me.”The startling vow forced the journalist to respond.”Hi Robert.
