A 26-year-old man has been charged with 39 offences following an investigation by Cheshire Constabulary’s online child abuse investigation team. Bilal Kazi, an Indian national currently held at HMP Birmingham and formerly of Chester, faces multiple charges including making indecent images of children, blackmail, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and inciting a child to watch sexual activity.
The charges relate to alleged incidents between 2021 and 2023 involving 71 girls under the age of 16 from across the UK.
Kazi has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 13.
