Thousands of children across Merseyside will start their half-term break today. .February half term will take place for many Merseyside schools from Monday, February 16 to Sunday, February 22, giving children their first week’s break of 2026.
As the break kicks off, families may be looking at ways of keeping their children entertained at an affordable cost. Thankfully, there are many places where families can visit for no cost at all. The ECHO has rounded up some of the free events and attractions which families can enjoy this week.
From Southport’s Lightport event to Chinese New Year celebrations in Liverpool city centre, there’s something for everyone. We’ve also included some of the region’s stunning parks and fascinating museums which don’t have any costs attached.
