Days after a partial government shutdown was lifted after President Donald Trump signed a $1.2 trillion funding package, another government shutdown is looming on February 14.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is facing a partial shutdown after Senate Democrats on Thursday blocked two funding bills, according to a report by The Washington Post.
Government Shutdown Looms
As per the report, Democrats demanded several changes to the DHS after federal immigration agents killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. While Trump was open to some of the changes, the Democrats reportedly rejected a proposal from White House on Wednesday.
