A women’s rights campaigner has lambasted Labour’s record over its mission to halve violence against women and girls (VAWG).In the party’s manifesto, Sir Keir Starmer vowed his party would halve VAWG by 2029 through a series of measures introduced under the oversight of Safeguarding Minister Jess Phillips. But the Government is facing mounting pressure from furious campaigners, claiming the Labour Government is overseeing an “open borders” policy compromising the safety of women.Yesterday, GB News’ Patrick Christys attended the sentencing of an Iranian illegal immigrant, who was thrown behind bars after sexually assaulting 19-year-old Abbie Johnson.

Ahmadreza Khalafi, 29, previously pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting the teenage girl at St Albans Crown Court in December last year.Ms Johnson bravely waived her right to anonymity to speak to GB News in a bid to spread awareness of reveal the details of her ordeal at the hands of the criminal. The convict, who broke into Britain by sneaking into the back of a lorry in 2024, pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault after stalking Abbie like “prey” during a game of hide-and-seek with her friends.Speaking out about the horrific case today, Paola Diana, who is chair of Women’s Policy Centre, told GB News she had “enough” of such vicious attacks.”We don’t need more. We don’t want more. This is enough for now, because we have to prevent this from happening,” she pleaded.”And the only way to prevent this from happening is to close the borders. Because now we know that women’s safety is strictly directly connected with illegal migration. She continued: “We don’t want violent, predatory men coming from cultures that are far beyond our culture, where it’s normal for these men to commit child abuse and rape.”We don’t want this man here. We really don’t.”We have to protect British women and girls once and for all.BRITAIN’S MIGRANT CRISIS – READ MORE:Violent asylum seeker who attacked and injured guards at migrant camp arrested after police manhuntThree African countries set to take back thousands of illegal migrants after UK’s sanctions threatIranian asylum seeker jailed after sexually assaulting teenage girl”And this Labour Government is lying to us. They’re not doing anything for us. They’re putting our daughters and us in danger every day.”Every single day when we go out, we are in danger. And I salute Abbie because she’s a very brave woman.”Reporting from the courtroom, Patrick relayed the horrific footage which revealed Khalaf pursuing Abbie into a bush for the 12-minute-long attack.”He was so brazen,” Patrick told GB News. “You can see the blue lights of a parked police car just around the corner in the footage, and he didn’t care.”As the CCTV was played, even his own cousin, who had offered to house him if he were released, put his head in his hands. He realised then what a monster he was.”Speaking to GB News outside St Albans Crown Court, Abbie told GB News: “I felt like I had that control back.”I felt like before this, he’d had the control the whole time. To watch him walk down all sad and acting was a very powerful feeling for me.”I’ve got my freedom back. I can move on with my life knowing all my fighting was worth it.”But she told Patrick that she would only feel safe if Khalaf was deported, adding: “I don’t feel safe with him here, and this is my home country.”Meanwhile, her mother, Stacey, told Patrick: “Parents need to be aware that our kids are not safe. If people do come to this country and they commit a crime, to me, that should be instant deportation.”We’re not safe in our country now, and I feel like the people that are coming to our country have got more rights and more protection than what we have.”A Home Office spokesman said: “This Government will not allow foreign criminals and illegal migrants to exploit our laws, which is why we are reforming human rights laws and replacing the broken appeals system, allowing us to scale up deportations.”All Foreign National Offenders who receive a prison sentence in the UK are referred for deportation at the earliest opportunity.”Our Standards:
