President Trump has reacted to the latest release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, claiming he is now “absolved” from the case.Over three million documents of the late child sex offender, including 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, were published by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) on Friday.One of the files appeared to contain unverified tips about the President obtained by the FBI in August last year.These tips included allegations a 13 or 14-year-old girl was forced to perform oral sex on him more than three decades ago, claims which the White House has fiercely denied.

In the complaint, the girl claimed she bit Mr Trump while performing the sex act and was “allegedly hit in the face after she laughed” about it.The file is said to have disappeared within hours of being published, which the DoJ later said was “down due to overload” before being put back online.Previously, the DoJ warned the files, which were ordered to have been released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, contained “untrue and sensationalist” claims about the President.Now, Mr Trump has responded following the fresh revelations.Speaking to the media in a tuxedo on Air Force One, the President said he was now “absolved” from any accusations relating to the files.”I didn’t see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left,” he told reporters.Mr Trump had a historic relationship with Epstein, describing him as a “terrific guy” who liked women “on the younger side” in 2002.
