NEW YORK — Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people during a ministerial session of the UN Security Council on the Middle East.Speaking before the Council on Wednesday, the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdulaziz Alwasil, condemned the Israeli authorities’ designation of lands in the West Bank as “state land,” describing the move as a grave violation of international law.He reiterated that Israel holds no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories and underscored the need to advance a just and lasting peace through the implementation of a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders.Alwasil also called for the protection of humanitarian organizations and the facilitation of aid access, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.He stressed the importance of preserving the unity of Palestinian territory and securing an immediate end to the war in Gaza.
