Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Sean Dyche overnight with Vitor Pereira the leading candidate to replace him at the City Ground.
Dyche was dismissed hours after the club were held to a goalless draw at home to the Premier League’s bottom side Wolves, leaving them just three points above the relegation zone with 12 games left to play.
Forest are now on the hunt for their fourth manager of the season having sacked Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecogelou earlier in the campaign.
Dyche’s reign in charge lasted just 114 days.
An extremely brief statement from the Premier League side released just after midnight on Thursday morning said: ‘Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach.
‘We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the Club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time.’
Former Wolves boss Pereira is thought to be an early contender for the job, The Athletic report.

Whoever Forest appoint will now be tasked with keeping Forest in the top flight.
Santo, who led Forest to a seventh place finish last season, was sacked just three games into the new season in August after falling out with owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was quickly named his replacement but his reign in charge lasted just 39 days.
Dyche departs with Forest in the thick of a relegation battle, winning six of his 18 games in charge.
