Social media and instant messaging platform Snapchat has blocked almost half a million accounts believed to belong to people under 16 as tech companies try to comply with Australia’s age-based social media ban, the company said Monday. Governments across the world are watching the ban’s implementation closely, with France already moving to implement similar measures.
