Professors from Kwangwoon University’s department of semiconductor systems engineering provided a series of lectures on semiconductor design at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) in Vietnam for two weeks starting Jan. 12. According to a Kwangwoon University official, the lectures covered core subjects including semiconductor circuit design and very large scale integration system design for students majoring in semiconductor engineering there. Three faculty members from Kwangwoon served as visiting foreign lecturers, teaching 10 or more hours per course over the two-week period to third- and fourth-year HCMUT students. Special seminars and workshops for both undergraduate and graduate students were also held to broaden educational exchange. The visit marks the first major exchange under a planned “2+2 joint degree program” designed to allow HCMUT students to study two years in Vietnam before transferring to Kwangwoon for an additional two years to complete a bachelor’s degree in semiconductor engineering. Organizers say the program represents a meaningful first
