Brooklyn claimed that his mum ‘hijacked’ his first dance with Nicola at their wedding
Victoria Beckham has posted to Instagram for the first time since her and David Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn, launched a series of allegations against his parents and siblings on social media earlier this week. In the explosive statement, he claimed his parents had tried to “ruin” his relationship with wife, Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn also claimed that his mum “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola and danced “inappropriately on me” in front of their guests, adding that he had never felt more “uncomfortable or humiliated” in his life.
Victoria’s latest Instagram post was shared this morning as she wished her former Spice Girls bandmate, Emma Bunton, a happy birthday. Sharing a throwback photo of the two, she said: “Happy birthday Emma. I love you so much.”
She captioned a second clip of Emma: “Happy birthday baby [white heart emoji]. Kisses.” Emma turns 50 today, the Heart Radio host shot to fame in 1996 with the Spice Girls, joining Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham.
Until Geri left the band in 1998, and the group eventually split in 2001, the Spice Girls had nine number ones, including three consecutive Christmas number ones.
Sir David Beckham also posted to social media for the first time this morning. He uploaded a photo from his Manchester United days with former teammate, Nicky Butt. Butt won six titles with Manchester United, helping them to victory in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003.
Butt started in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich in Barcelona, alongside Beckham in the midfield. The United legend turns 51 today and Sir David posted: “Happy birthday mate”, alongside a red heart emoji.
Sir David also extended his birthday wishes to former Manchester United player Phil Neville, and his twin sister Tracey Neville, a former England netball head coach. He wrote: “Happy birthday you two”, as he shared a picture of the siblings together.
Last night, Brooklyn’s younger brother, Cruz, posted a photo of his electric guitar, and a video performing with his band. Brooklyn claimed that his brothers, Cruz, and Romeo, had blocked him on social media in the summer of 2025, before eventually unblocking him.
In a statement to Instagram on Monday evening, Brooklyn said: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.
“Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.”
He added: “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.
“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”
