Season four of the Traitors will come to an end tonight and Friday’s episode is expected to be one of the most tense in history. Here is the breakdown of everything you need to know before the final
- New broadcast time – The BBC has confirmed a schedule shake-up for the grand finale. Instead of the usual 8pm slot, the episode will air slightly later at 8.30pm.
- It is also set to be a slightly longer episode as the extended special will be 75 minutes.
- Viewers are on tenterhooks to see how it will play out as the semi-final ended on a nail-biting deadlock at the Round Table
- The vote was split down the middle (three votes each) between James (a Faithful) and Rachel (a Traitor)
- With the table in a stalemate, Claudia Winkleman introduced the “Chest of Chance” twist.
- Instead of a re-vote, fate will decide their survival. Both Rachel and James have been given a chest, but only one contains a Shield. The episode agonisingly cut to black before who has been banished has been revealed
- With the prize pot currently standing at £76,750 (and room to grow to £120,000 in the final mission), the stakes have never been higher
- The season will end when contestants gather around the fire pit and decide whether to banish another player or end the game if they are satisfied there are no remaining Traitors. If a Traitor remains, they will steal the prize money from the Faithfuls
