The connection between Coronation Street newcomer Jodie and returning Emmerdale character Graham Foster will finally be revealed very soon.
The link, and what brought them both into the Corriedale crossover, will be confirmed on screen, with the major twists and turns building towards a massive spring storyline on Corrie.
Soap boss Kate Brooks has revealed that viewers will discover why Graham had Jodie restrained in the back of his van.
The circumstances that brought their paths together, and why Jodie was desperately running for her life before Kit Green discovered her, will be explained.
Kate revealed: “We will reference what happened, we’ll find out exactly why she was in that van, we’ll find out what her link to Graham is.

“We’ll reveal what went on between them, and how Jodie ended up running for a life and what Graham’s role was in it all. It’s a story that goes on to be really big as we get into spring and summer.”
This comes as her connection to Shona Platt has been confirmed. Jodie is Shona’s sister, and when the pair are eventually reunited after years of separation, the soap will explore Shona’s backstory, reports the Mirror.
As for Graham, his resurrection remains unexplained. Graham was written out of Emmerdale in 2020, so his unexpected return and the revelation he’s alive has left viewers confused.
Some fans now believe they’ve worked out how he staged his death, and it could involve another character. An alternative theory suggests it’s not the genuine Graham.

One viewer speculated: “Maybe Graham isn’t Graham,” while another observed: “Someone said the subtitles said he was Bruce! ? !” A third suggested: “Maybe it’s his twin brother? because last time we seen Graham he was very much dead.”
Meanwhile, other fans suspect that either his former partner Rhona Goskirk or Kim Tate might have orchestrated a secret plan for him to flee the village. One fan shared their theory on social media: “My head canon, is that after he was ‘killed’ by Pierce, Graham pretended to be dead.
“Off-screen, he phones contacts, and gets them to put makeup on him, making his body all pale, so he looks dead. Even that feels like a stretch, but I have no idea how they can justify keeping Graham alive.”
Another viewer admitted: “I have never been more confused in my life because he was definitely dead.
“I saw some people saying maybe it’s not actually Graham, maybe a twin. Another theory as you say could be a fake death, clearly, but someone somehow, Kim maybe?”.
Emmerdale airs at 8pm and Coronation Street airs at 8.30pm every weeknight on ITV1 and ITVX
