Jemima Packington claims she successfully predicted the Queen’s death in 2022 and says LFC will a trophy in 2026

A fortune teller who predicts the future by throwing asparagus says 2026 will bring a General Election and the arrest of a former member of the Royal Household. Jemima Packington, 69, who previously foretold the Queen’s death, Brexit and Boris Johnson becoming Prime Minister, believes this year will be packed with political upheaval and scandal.

The mystic is the world’s only ‘asparamancer’ and says she can see into the future by tossing asparagus spears into the air and interpreting how they land. Jemima has now revealed her top predictions for 2026 – warning of regime change in the UK, dramatic election results in the US and major flooding that will disrupt infrastructure.

She’s also predicting scandals involving beloved soap stars, unexpected showbiz deaths, and a cultural shift in music – with swing-style tunes replacing K-pop.

In politics, she foresees a General Election in the UK with widespread resignations, while across the Atlantic she believes the US midterm elections will see a shock swing towards the Democrats.

The Royal Family, she says, will face further health scares but will ultimately prevail – though she ominously predicts the arrest of a former member of the Royal Household.

In sport, UK football fans are tipped for a “tremendous” World Cup, while Kevin Sinfield CBE is set to finally receive a knighthood, Jemima believes.

Describing her technique, Jemima, of Bath, Somerset, said: “I cast the asparagus on to a flat surface and it makes patterns.

“From those patterns, I can make predictions. I just have to concentrate on the list of questions that I’ve been given.

“People always want to know about royalty, showbiz and politics.”

She said that her predictions are usually around 75 to 90 per cent accurate, thanks to years of practice.

She added: “I don’t get too political, but I’m predicting this year that the EU is going to be relying less on the US.

“Another major prediction is flooding in the UK.”

Jemima said she saw the spears form the shape of a broken crown just months before the Queen died on September 8, 2022.

NEW YEAR PREDICTIONS 2026

  1. There will be a General Election in the UK. Regime change is on the way. Political resignations abound.
  2. More flooding in the UK will cause serious disruptions to our infrastructure.
  3. US midterm elections will see a massive swing to the Democrats. This will be a shock for the current administration.
  4. Major scandals affecting well loved UK soap characters. The public will be stunned.
  5. People will be looking to mindfulness as a means to seek self healing. More emphasis on the alternate methods and medicines.
  6. The current European Union countries will endeavour to lessen their reliance on the US. The US will suffer the most from this.
  7. UK Farmers will get more much needed help.
  8. UK Football will have a tremendous World Cup.
  9. The Royal Family will see more health scares but will prevail.
  10. A former member of the Royal Household will be arrested.
  11. Kevin Sinfield CBE will get his much deserved Knighthood.
  12. There will be a massive change in popular music with young up and coming musicians turning to the more jazzy Swing era of the 40’s and 50’s. K Pop Out – Swing Pop in.
  13. Deaths of Showbiz and Pop nobility. Some very unexpected.
  14. Some very well known former sportsmen will fall out of favour with the British public but others will go from strength to strength in new careers.
  15. The British Asparagus Festival will be even more successful than usual.
