DeFoor attended The Summit Country Day School, an exclusive Catholic institution charging $27,000 annually in fees. The 26-year-old faces charges of obstructing official business, criminal damaging or endangering, criminal trespass and vandalism following an overnight incident at Vance’s $1.4 million Cincinnati property.DeFoor is accused of using a hammer to smash four windows at the East Walnut Hills residence, which sits on 2.3 acres overlooking the Ohio River. The property serves as a secondary home for the Vice President, his wife Usha and their three young children.Secret Service agents stationed at the address detected a loud noise around midnight and observed the suspect fleeing the scene. Officers apprehended DeFoor shortly afterwards before handing custody to Cincinnati Police Department. The Vance family were not present during the alleged attack, having already returned to their primary residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, DC.DeFoor, who previously went by Davis during school years, appears to have transitioned and now identifies on social media as a transgender woman named Julia.A Facebook profile reflecting this new identity was established in December, with the first profile picture uploaded on 15 December.DeFoor graduated from Summit Country Day in 2018 as a National AP Scholar and participated actively in the drama department. DeFoor subsequently enrolled at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music but departed in 2020 without completing a degree, later attending Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.Court records indicate a prior conviction for property destruction. In April, DeFoor pleaded guilty to two vandalism counts after causing over $2,000 damage to an interior design firm. The sentence included two years of mental health treatment and $5,550 in restitution payments.LATEST DEVELOPMENTSKeir Starmer suffers Lords humiliation as Chagos ‘surrender’ delayed after peer revoltMaduro says he has been ‘kidnapped’ and tells judge ‘I am still president’ as he pleads not guiltyFlorist claims Muslim colleague made ‘gagging noises’ as she ate ham sandwichA Secret Service spokesperson confirmed that agents heard the disturbance at approximately midnight and spotted a suspect running from the property. The suspect had also allegedly damaged a Secret Service vehicle whilst approaching the residence via the driveway. When police officers informed DeFoor of legal rights, the arrest report states the response was simply: “I don’t know.”Authorities have not disclosed any motive for the alleged attack. DeFoor is scheduled to appear at Hamilton County Municipal Court on Tuesday for arraignment.Vice President Vance addressed the incident on X, writing: “I appreciate everyone’s well wishes about the attack at our home. As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows. I’m grateful to the secret service and the Cincinnati police for responding quickly.”
