WARSAW — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said Monday that relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates remain vital to regional stability, while acknowledging that the two countries hold “differences in perspectives” on the Yemen file. Speaking at a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart in Warsaw, Prince Faisal stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening ties with Poland, announcing the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint coordination council between the two countries. He said Saudi Arabia looks forward to expanding cooperation with Poland, particularly in the economic field, noting that bilateral trade has reached about $8 billion, reflecting the strength of economic relations and a growing partnership. Prince Faisal said Saudi Arabia and Poland share a common view on the importance of supporting stability in Palestine, Yemen and Sudan, underscoring continued coordination on regional and international issues of mutual concern. He added that the Kingdom has renewed its full support for peaceful solutions to the Russia-Ukraine crisis, emphasizing the need to enhance global security and stability through dialogue and diplomacy. For his part, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said Saudi Arabia is Poland’s largest partner in the Middle East, expressing Warsaw’s appreciation for the Kingdom’s efforts related to Ukraine. Sikorski said Poland supports international efforts aimed at stabilizing Palestine and condemned Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip. He also noted that Poland has no specific information regarding potential steps the United States may take on Iran, referring to ongoing developments surrounding the Iranian file.
