🇮🇷 Videos appearing on social media and verified by France 24 @TheObservers team in Paris showed dozens of bodies accumulating at a morgue in Kahrizak, south of Tehran, with families searching to identify their loved ones and groups saying they were victims of the Iranian authorities’ crackdown on protests.
In their 16th day, demonstrations began when traders in the Iranian capital took to the streets over a sudden depreciation of the national currency. They have since spread nationwide, with demonstrators calling for the fall of the Iranian regime, prompting a heavy-handed response from the authorities.
