ROME :Italy will host the next edition of the America’s Cup, in 2027, in the city of Naples, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Thursday, the first time ever for the country to host the sailing competition.
“(The America’s Cup is) a global event that involves millions of fans and represents a unique synthesis of tradition, technological innovation, engineering excellence and competitive spirit,” Meloni said in a statement.
